Radio Show

Community Connections

Through a partnership with local radio station, 104.5 The Flame, the Children’s Services Council presents a weekly radio show called Community Connections. Executive Director, Sean Boyle and Director of Community Engagement, Ashley Mock host the show each Sunday morning at 10 a.m. The goal of the show is to connect children and families to resources that they may not know are available to them in our community. Guests are featured from funded programs, and other community partners and include information about local events for children and families.

Since 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic pushed us out of the recording studio, Community Connections has been pre-recorded and shared to our Facebook page each week following the live show. Every Sunday at 11 a.m. a new episode of Community Connections is uploaded. You can find past episodes of the weekly show here.

Thanks to St. Lucie Public Schools and WLX-TV, our Community Connections shows are also televised. You can see Community Connections on Comcast channel 13 in Fort Pierce, channel 19 in Port St. Lucie; Hometown Cable channel 19 and AT&T Uverse channel 99. Scheduled times are as follows: Monday at 2 pm, Tuesday at 7 pm, Wednesday at 9 am, Friday at 12 am, 10:30 pm and Saturday at 3:30 pm.
