Through an exclusive partnership between the Children’s Services Council and the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce, youth participating in summer learning programs funded by CSC are having some amazing experiences this summer.
For the second year, campers and local businesses have been brought together in the Summer Passport program. Through the program, summer camps have the opportunity to visit local businesses, museums and participate in activities that some children may otherwise not get to experience, even things that exist right in our own backyard. With the added challenge of COVID-19 this summer, camps were challenged with planning trips and excursions for their participants. Luckily, thanks to amazing planning by the Chamber and CSC teams, the students are still able to visit and learn about many local businesses, as well as having some businesses come to them!
